Acting is a tough field. It requires alot of mental toughness. When you submit for a casting or go on an audition you may hear...nothing. It can be disheartening. You start asking yourself all these "enough" questions: Am I not attractive enough, tall enough, skilled enough, etc.
It does not matter because you will never know the "why" to that particular casting.
Here are my tips (they are not new but I preach to myself):
1. I run my own mini-boot camp to get into much better shape.
2. I got an acting coach and TRAIN!
3. I live in an area where projects are plentiful.
4. Get new pictures done.
5. Update the resume.
6. Update physical skills (martial arts, sports, physical attributes, etc.)
7. Submit for castings/roles.
8. Go on another audition.
9. Never, ever quit on myself.
